| Situated near Stony Creek and across from Richards High School, the Racquet, Fitness & Gymnastics Center (10444 S. Central Ave.) offers a complete tennis experience for young and old. Tennis lessons and leagues are available for the beginner to the advanced player on its 6 tennis courts; traveling leagues are offered for men and women. The club also features 5 racquetball courts, which can be used for wallyball open play, tournaments or rentals. The club's basement is an active place, too. Here's where you'll find the fitness center—complete with treadmills, cross-trainers, stepping machines and more—plus massage therapy, personal training and chiropractic-wellness services. The club is also home to the park district's very popular gymnastics program. Gym classes—held in the recently renovated west end of the club—include parent/tot gymnastics, competitive team gymnastics and cheerleading/tumbling.
