General Info: classes designed to teach children basic skills of various sports as well as coordination, listening skills, socialization. Classes are taught by trained staff from Sports Kids Inc.

Age: 5-8 years, Kindergarten-3rd Grade
Runs December - February, Mondays & Fridays, practices begin in December, games begin in January.
Registration begins in August during the Fall program registration dates.
Registration deadline is early November. A $10.00 late charge applies after the deadline if space available.
This program offers instruction, as well as competitive basketball for boys and girls. Team play and sportsmanship will be stressed. Age divisions are as of September 1. Volunteer coaches are needed! We offer the National Youth Sports Coaches Association certification classes free of charge to our volunteer coaches.
George Shimko Basketball School
Age: 5-16 years
Runs 4 sessions year round, days depending on class and season
Registration is during the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer registration dates
George Shimko and his GSBS staff have been offering a variety of quality youth basketball programs at the Oak Lawn Park District Community Pavilion since 1994. The philosophy of these programs is Good Students Make Better Athletes! GSBS Basketball has instructed more than 75,000 young players. Each player will develop their individual as well as their team skills in a positive and enriching environment. All players are separated into groups by age & skill level. Outdoor Little Kickers Soccer League
Age: 4-5 years
Runs August - early October, games on Saturdays, practices scheduled by coach.
Registration begins in May during the Summer program registration dates.
Registration deadline is early July. A $10.00 late charge applies after the deadline if space available.
This introductory soccer league is a shortened version of our youth soccer program and is designed to help transition children into team play. Small sided, non-competitive games will be played. This league will be run in a low key environment and coaches will be more hands on during games. Age divisions are as of August 1. Volunteer coaches are needed! We offer the National Youth Sports Coaches Association certification classes free of charge to our volunteer coaches. Practice varies in time and day and begins by mid-August.
Outdoor Youth Soccer Leagues
Age: 6-9 years
Runs August - October, games on Saturdays & a couple Wednesdays, practices scheduled by coach.
Registration begins in May during the Summer program registration dates.

Outdoor Travel Soccer
What is the age range?. 10-11 years old (Junior Division) & 12-13 years old (Senior Division) boys & girls. Age dependent upon August of current year
When does this program run? Mid August through October, weather permitting
When is registration? Registrations begins in May during Summer program registration dates. Late registration may be accepted with a late fee after the registration deadline.
When does registration end? Registration will before the first game.
General Info: Teams are formed by a draft process and be entered into the South Suburban Soccer League. Practices and game times will vary. Teams will travel to local park districts for games.
Indoor Little Kickers Soccer
What is the age range? 4-5 years, boys & girls. Age dependent upon September of current year.
When does this program run? Mid December through March on Saturdays.
When is registration? Registrations begins in July during Fall program registration dates. Late registration may be accepted with a late fee after the registration deadline.
When does registration end? Registration will end before the first game.
General Info: Teams are formed by a draft process. Teams will get 3 practices and 6 games during the season. All participants will receive a shirt and trophy. Practice and game times will vary from week to week.
Indoor Youth Soccer
What is the age range? 6 – 7 year olds, 8 – 9 year olds, 10 – 11 year olds, & 12 – 13 year olds, boys & girls. Age dependent upon September of current year.
When does this program run? Mid December through March on Saturdays (6 – 7 year olds & 8-9 year olds) and Sunday (10 – 11 year olds & 12 – 13 year olds).
When is registration? Registrations begin in July during Fall program registration dates. Late registration may be accepted with a late fee after the registration deadline.
When does registration end? Registration will end before the first game.

Indoor High School Soccer
What is the age range? High School students with current year school id.
When does this program run? Mid November through late February on Wednesday (Girls High School Soccer) & Thursday (Boys High School Soccer).
When is registration? Registrations begin in July during Fall program registration dates
When does registration end? Registration will end before the first game.
General Info: Registration is based upon teams, not individual registration. Many local high school put teams together for the league.
Fall Intramurals

General Info: 2nd & 3rd grade will be a school yard pick where players will rotate teams each week. 4th & 5th grade and junior high league maybe combined dependent upon numbers. Games are held in a D123 school. All participants will receive a shirt and a trophy. Game times will vary from week to week.
Youth Volleyball Skills & Drills
What is the age range? 6 – 10 years old (Level 1) & 10 – 14 years old (Level 2), boys & girls

General Info: Volleyball program will stress bumping, setting, serving, jumping, rotating, and proper footwork for each skill.

General Info: Participants will learn the fundamentals of shooting in a safe manner. Technique and games will be part of the class. All equipment is provided. The fee includes 1 child and 1 adult.

General Info: Participants will learn the jumping, running, and throwing skills involved in the sport of track and field. At the last day of the class, there will be a track and field meet.

We follow NSA rules.
