Site Director Positions Currently Available: 0 We employ 9 site directors at FLASH. There is one Site Director at each of the 9 locations. The basic duties of the Site Director include: Maintaining safety and order at their site at all times, overseeing Assistant Director and/or Leaders, working with the school to uphold their expectations of the program at your location, working closely with families to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate, handling negative behavior appropriately, collecting payments, distributing materials, planning activities for their school, working early dismissal days, attending staff meetings and field trips, following all policies and procedures of The FLASH Program as well as The Oak Lawn Park District. Assistant Director Positions Currently Available: 0 We currently do not employ any Assistant Directors, but are hoping to open up this position in the near future at our larger sites. The Assistant Director will work directly under the Site Director and serve as a second in command at a particular school. The basic duties of the Assistant Director will include: Planning daily activities, maintaining safety and order at their site at all times, overseeing Leaders, working with the school to uphold their expectations of the program at your location, working closely with families to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate, handling negative behavior appropriately, collecting payments, distributing materials, planning activities for their school, working early dismissal days, attending staff meetings and field trips and following all policies and procedures of The FLASH Program as well as The Oak Lawn Park District.
Leader Positions Currently Available: 0 We currently employ 14 FLASH Leaders in the program. The responsibilities of the Leaders include: Assisting the Site Director and/or Assistant Director with daily operations of the program, leading games and activities for the children, encouraging children's participation in games and activities, maintaining the safety and well-being of the children, working some field trip and early dismissal days, speaking with parents when necessary, and following all policies and procedures of The FLASH Program as well as The Oak Lawn Park District.
