Hits : 67

The Oak Lawn Park District is looking for volunteers for the annual Stony Creek Clean-up event held in conjunction with the 27th Annual Chicago River Day. In collaboration with the Friends of the Chicago River, volunteers will be working side-by-side on Saturday, May 11th, from 9:00am-12:00pm to help the environment by collecting garbage.

The meeting location is at the Wolfe Wildlife Pavilion located at 109th & Laramie.

The minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old, however, we are a "family-friendly" site. Younger children can enjoy the park facilities with a parent while the rest of the family works at the Chicago River Day/Stony Creek Clean-up. Make sure to arrive with a smile and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Event will proceed rain or shine.

Please pre-register for this event and include your t-shirt size using the program code 416100-01.

For more information, please call 708-857-2200.
