Oak Lawn Park District Winter Seed Sowing Class

Monday, February 13, 2017, 06:30pm - 08:30pm
Hits : 122

Oak Lawn Park District Horticulturist Dolly Foster will teach participants about winter seed sowing, a method of starting plants from seed outdoors in winter, on Monday, February 13th, from 6:30-8:30pm. This same winter sowing method can be used in early spring to give half-hardy annuals a good start. This requires less care than indoor seed sowing, increases the amount of space available, and, best of all, creates plants that are ready to go in the garden without the hardening off process required with nursery stock.

Fee is $7per person. Registration code is 327102-01.  Class will be held at the Oak View Center, 4625 W. 110th St.

For more information on the class, call 708-857-2201. Register online at www.olparks.com or call 708-857-2200.
