Don’t let the end of summer get you down! There’s plenty of fall fun ahead at Oak Lawn Park District! We will have free events, Halloween-themed open skates, art projects, a golf outing, dance party, and more. Check out all the fun at visit ww.olparks.com for more fun!


The free Monarch Festival will be on Saturday, September 18 at the Oak View Center (4625 W. 110th St.) Celebrate the journey of the Monarch Butterfly with free arts and crafts, interactive puppet theatre, face painting, music, live butterfly tagging, a movie on the butterfly migration, and more! This award-winning festival brings much needed awareness to the issues that this magnificent creature faces today and will show you how you can assist in the preservation of the Monarch Butterfly.


For just $10 ($15 for non-residents), carve your pumpkin while eating delicious treats at the Costumes, Pumpkin, Candy, Oh My! program at Wolfe Wildlife (109th & Laramie Ave.)! We’ll see you on Wednesday, October 13 from 6:00-7:30 pm! Spots are limited! Register here: Costumes, Pumpkin, Candy, Oh My!


Kids ages 6-12 are invited to our Halloween Painting Party on Tuesday, October 26 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Oak View Center. Come in costume if you want, if not, just come ready to paint! Get your foursome together and play in our Fall Four-Person Scramble at Stony Creek on Saturday, October 16 at 9:00 am. Only $50 for the entry fee! Visit www.golfstonycreek.com.


Howl-O-Ween will be Saturday, October 23 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm at Wolfe Wildlife. This outdoor event will take place of Spookview. More details to come!


Open skate in your Halloween Costume at the Oak Lawn Ice Arena (9320 S. Kenton Ave.) on Sunday, October 24 from 1:00-2:30 pm. Cost is just $7 per person (+$4 if you need to rent skates) and you get to enjoy a DJ, treats, raffle prizes, and more! Admission is paid at the door.


Individuals with disabilities should be excited about the Annual Halloween Hip-Hop Dance! The party happens on Friday, October 29 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Community Pavilion (9401 S. Oak Park Ave.) Snacks and drinks will be served to keep the party going. Fee is just $8 per person (resident/Co-op) and $12 for non-residents. Register here: Halloween Hip-Hop
