IPRA Unplug Illinois Day
Published 7/7/2021
In celebration of the Summer Olympics, along with Illinois Park and Recreation Association’s (IPRA) Unplug Illinois Day on July 10th, the Oak Lawn Park District is offering a free, outdoor Olympic-themed scavenger hunt.
The Summer Olympics Scavenger Hunt will be available from 12:00pm on Friday, July 9th – Sunday, July 11th. Participants, at their own leisure, will be challenged to find clues in designated Park District parks and to answer Summer Olympics trivia questions to solve an Olympic Rings mystery.
Participation packets are available at https://www.olparks.com/calendar/special-events or at a Park District facility.
Completed Scavenger Hunt packets can be submitted to the Community Pavilion, 9401 S. Oak Park Ave., by Friday, July 23rd, and redeemed for a prize (one per family). Participants will also receive one entry into a raffle prize drawing.
Unplug Illinois works locally and statewide, from the smallest park and recreation agency to the largest in Illinois. Unplug Illinois encourages people to ‘plug into’ all the recreational opportunities local parks and recreation agencies offer. It communicates how parks deliver value in people’s lives and communities, parks provide healthier, sustainable communities, and play provides benefits to all.
