It is important to the Oak Lawn Park District to be transparent while being good stewards of the communities’ tax dollars. For over 20 years, we have received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. This means, as quoted in the report: “Management is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of the financial statements in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, and for the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal control relevant to the preparation and fair presentation of financial statements that are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.”

The Oak Lawn Park District organization values its employees and the contribution they make to the community, and understands the importance of retaining quality employees in meeting the recreational needs of the community.

Prevailing Wage Ordinance

In accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Oak Lawn Park District has made a determination of the prevailing rates of wages to be paid to laborers, mechanics and other workers employed in public works projects for the Park District. The Park District has determined that the prevailing rates of wages are the wage rates for Will County, as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor

A copy of the determination is available for public inspection in the Park District’s Administration Building at 9400 S. Kenton Ave, Oak Lawn, IL. Copies are also available upon request by call the Park District at 708-857-2225.

IMRF Employee Cost & Participation Information

In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504. The law requires IMRF to post certain employer cost and participation information on its website. IMRF will update these reports annually.

  • Employer Contribution Amounts: The amount of employer contributions each employer made from 1/1/1995 to present (searchable spreadsheet)
  • Employer Contribution Rates: Each employer’s contribution rates for the current year and one year after (searchable spreadsheet)
  • Participating Employers: A list of all employers and the date each employer joined IMRF (searchable spreadsheet)
  • Employer Resolutions: Required participation resolutions for employers that joined on or after 1/1/1995 (searchable PDF)

Public Act 101-0504 requires IMRF employers that have a website to include a link to this web page, no later than January 1, 2021.

Employee Compensation

Pursuant to the requirements of 5 ILCS 120/7.3, we have made available at our Administration Building, located at 9400 S. Kenton Ave., the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000 per year. The statute defines “total compensation” to mean salary, health insurance, vehicle allowance, clothing allowance, bonuses, loans, vacation days and sick days.
