The 8-acre Lawn Manor Park—located at 108th St. & Kostner Ave.—was established in 1961 to coincide with a growing housing development in this section of Oak Lawn. This large park features two baseball fields, 1/2 basketball court, sand-volleyball court, two tennis courts, three lit pickleball courts, picnic shelter with green roof, fitness court, and a large playground featuring a tot section and zip line.
This park was renovated in 2021 thanks to a $400,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) along with a $30,000 National Fitness Campaign Grant. The renovations included a new playground, tot structure, musical chimes, 75’ zip line, and large shelter area that features a “live roof” with trays of plant material on the lower roof terrace. Additional amenities include a spray pad, sand volleyball court, walking paths, two basketball courts (half court each), two tennis courts, pickleball court, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Court®.
