Basketball

The Oak Lawn Park District offers several types of basketball programs. These programs are held at the Community Pavilion (9401 S Oak Park Ave).

The George Shimko Basketball Programs are offered year-round and  suitable for kids ages 5-15. They are celebrating 30 years of providing quality youth basketball programming for boys and girls. Since 1994 GSBS Basketball has instructed more than 75,000 young players. Under the direction of George Shimko and his GSBS Staff, each player will be able to develop their individual as well as their team skills in a positive and enriching environment. “Good Students Make Better Athletes!”

The Co-Ed Basketball Leagues are offered December through February. These leagues are for school aged children Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Please note that this is a draft league.

• Weeklong Summer Camp (Ages 5-15)
