Due to this week’s storms, please note the following facility updates:

  • Menards Center will remain closed due to power outage
  • Memorial Splash Pad is open!
  • The dog park will be closed Monday for clean up.

Our parks are experiencing tree and branch damage from the storm. Our staff is actively assessing all park locations and clearing debris over the next several days.

Named for a popular Park District Commissioner, Sullivan Park, located at 99th St. & Kostner Ave., was Oak Lawn’s first park incorporated east of Cicero Avenue. In 1955, it was called Beverly Lawn Park, but it was renamed in the late 1990s. The park features some unique playground equipment, enjoyed by many neighborhood kids. Multiple sports can also be enjoyed at this 5-acre site, including basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, pickleball, and tennis.
