Volleyball for Charity

The Oak Lawn Park District in cooperation with the Special Recreation Athletic Support Association (SRASA) will host the 40th Annual Volleyball for Charity Co-Rec Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 11th.

Volleyball for Charity (VFC) began 40 years ago by the Clark Family as a fundraising effort benefiting organizations that support individuals with special needs and their families. This year’s proceeds will benefit Park Lawn and SRASA.

               The tournament will run between 8:00am-3:00pm. Tournament locations include the Community Pavilion, 9401 S. Oak Park Ave. Oak Lawn, IL, and Oak Lawn Community High School, 9400 Southwest Highway, Oak Lawn, IL.

               Adults ages 18 and up are encouraged to register a team today! Registration for the tournament is $350 and includes eight tournament t-shirts.  A $450 registration option is also available and includes eight tournament t-shirts and eight after party tickets.

               Registration and donation opportunities are available online, www.volleyballforcharity.org, or at any park district facility. The registration deadline is Sunday, September 5th.

               The after party will be at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park, IL 60803, from 5:00-9:00pm. Tickets are available at the door for $35 each. A ticket includes four hours of open bar, door prizes, a buffet dinner, DJ and more! Premium raffles will be available for an additional cost.
