Worthbrook Park

Playground, Tot Lot, Skate Park, 2 Baseball Fields, Picnic Area, 2 Basketball Courts, Football Field, Soccer Field

Located at the northwestern end of town, the 8.8-acre Worthbrook Park (89th Pl. & Ridgeland Ave.) was treated to a renovation in 2003 with help from a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The grant helped transform the park's seldom-used tennis courts into Oak Lawn's first skate park for inline skaters and skateboarders. The 2003 renovation also included the construction of a new picnic shelter, a path, fencing, playground enhancements and a sand-volleyball court.

Construction Project included:
Remove and replace the basketball courts and volleyball courts.
Replace the skate park equipment concrete modular pieces.
Install new ADA playground equipment with an ADA compliant
poured in place rubber safety surface.
Installation of a new family picnic shelter.
Reconfiguring the ball fields further to the north to allow for
adequate spacing between the players benches and the street.
Installation of a mini spray pad adjacent to the playground.
Creation of new walking paths with fitness stations.
The walking path will interconnect all park amenities.
