The Dog Park will be reopening on Friday, May 8th. It is critical that members remember to keep practicing safe social distancing while using the dog park. If the park is not being utilized in a safe manner, the park district may revoke membership or close the park again until further notice. Please stay safe!To regain access to the park,please see below for the important next steps:
Members who renewed their membership or enrolled for the 2020-2021 membership period before the shutdown in March will have immediate access to the park with their PIN # on May 8th. Those who have not enrolled for the new membership period, please follow the steps below to gain access to the park:
- Due to facility closures, all membership applications will be processed electronically.
- Complete and sign a digital copy of the dog park application. Email the completed application with all necessary shot records to Mike Sinkewich. A copy of the digital application can be found below on this web page
- To avoid delays in processing your membership, please make sure that you email a copy of all of the shot records for your dog(s) and that they include the records requested in the application.
- You will receive a call once all membership information is received and confirmed to submit payment over the phone with a credit card. Upon payment, your PIN # to access the dog park will be activated.We will be processing applications as quickly as possible, but there will be delays due to park district facility closures and limited staff. Bailey's Crossing Dog Park consists of 1.63 acres of fenced-in, open space with a separate fenced-in area for smaller dogs. This beautiful wooded park has a water fountain for dogs and humans, as well as a central sitting area with flower beds, benches, and artificial fire hydrants.
Memberships are available for purchase at our Oak View Center facility (4625 W. 110th Street). Membership is conditional upon proof of dog's medical records and agreement to follow park rules.The rules of the dog park can be found at the link listed below.
1 Year Membership (May 1- April 30): Resident $30, Non-Resident $50
Fee Reduced (Beginning November 1): Resident $15, Non-Resident $25
Renewal period will begin March 1st. An updated registration form with current vaccination records is required to renew membership. Fee is per household not per dog – maximum of 3 dogs (Village of Oak Lawn household limit)
