To comply with the Cook County Department of Public Health Order No. 2021-11, the Oak Lawn Park District will implement the following protocols effective January 3, 2022

·      Any person 5 and older visiting the Community Pavilion to utilize the Walking Track, Fitness Center, Personal Training or Group Fitness will be required to show proof of full vaccination.  Individuals 16 and older will also be required to show a valid photo ID.  There is an exemption for those who are medically unable to receive a vaccination if they (1) show proof of the exemption from a medical provider, and (2) show proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours of coming into the facility.

·      Any person 5 and older visiting the Racquet Fitness and Gymnastics Center to utilize the Fitness Center, Personal Training or Group Fitness will be required to show proof of full vaccination.  Individuals 16 and older will also be required to show a valid photo ID.  There is an exemption for those who are medically unable to receive a vaccination if they (1) show proof of the exemption from a medical provider, and (2) show proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours of coming into the facility.

·      Any person 5 and older visiting the Oak View Center to attend Group Fitness will be required to show proof of full vaccination.  Individuals 16 and older will also be required to show a valid photo ID.  There is an exemption for those who are medically unable to receive a vaccination if they (1) show proof of the exemption from a medical provider, and (2) show proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours of coming into the facility.

·      Any person 5 and older visiting the Ice Arena to attend Group Fitness will be required to show proof of full vaccination.  Individuals 16 and older will also be required to show a valid photo ID.  There is an exemption for those who are medically unable to receive a vaccination if they (1) show proof of the exemption from a medical provider, and (2) show proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours of coming into the facility.

·      Staff at these facilities will be using participant and member lists to track verification of vaccination.  Those lists will be transferred into the recreation registration system.  Please make sure to have your vaccination verification with you when you enter these facilities.

·      Vaccine verification does not apply to preschool and FLASH programs.

·      Private facility rentals, as part of your signed rental agreement, you will be required to agree to identify the vaccination status of your guests.  Renter is responsible for maintaining a list of all attendees, along with verification of vaccination status, and provide upon request. 

·      Please note, the Cook County Order does not grant an exemption for religious objections to vaccination but does grant an exemption for those who are medically unable to receive vaccination IF they (1) show proof of a negative COVID test within 24 hours of visiting the facility.

The following mitigations are also still in effect:

·      Any person age two or older is required to wear a mask when indoors (regardless of vaccination status).

·      Physical distancing of six feet or more is recommended when possible.

We ask you to allow extra time and patience while staff implements these new mandates established by Cook County.
